Huber Heights YMCA hosts Free Community Breakfast
February 26, 2010

The Huber Heights YMCA will kick off their 2010 Strong Kids Campaign and the slogan is, “Face 2 Face” Helping people is a contact sport.  That will also be the topic at a free Community Breakfast on Thursday, March 4 at 7:30 am in the gym at the Huber Heights YMCA located at 7251 Shull Road.  The Huber Heights YMCA will also be celebrating their 5th Anniversary.  Breakfast, special music performed by the Studebaker Middle School Chorus and special presentations by members of the committee and staff will be on the program at this very worthwhile event.

The annual Strong Kids Campaign ensures that no one is denied the opportunity to share the YMCA experience due to an inability to pay.  Each year, thousands of children learn to swim, play and compete in youth sports leagues, go to summer camp and make new friends at the YMCA.  35% of donations from the Strong Kids Campaign goes to summer day camp, 10% to the youth sports programs, 10% to youth programs, 10% to aquatic programs and 35% goes to youth membership.  This means that many youth in our community are able to be a member and be part of the programs that would not have that privilege. All contributions given to the Huber Heights YMCA stays at the Huber Heights YMCA to assure that you are assisting your local YMCA and community.  The Huber Heights YMCA goal for this Strong Kids Campaign 2010 is $50,000 and no contribution is too small.

Mark your calendars and make plans to help celebrate the Huber Heights YMCA birthday and kick off this exciting campaign.  To RSVP for this special FREE breakfast or for more information on Strong Kids contact Josh Sullenberger at jsullenberger@daytonymca.org or 236-9622.  Donation forms may be picked up at the Huber Heights YMCA 7251 Shull Road, Huber Heights OH.
