Recently the Chamber office was able to upgrade our computers and set up our technology. We now have a great networking system, updated software, battery back-up, information back-up and new computer for the administrative assistant. Kathy and I are very excited about all the great things we can do and the fact that we have an automatic nightly back up takes a lot of worry off my mind. In doing this we have also changed our email addresses. Committees:
We are beginning to organize our committees for 2010. Below is a list of those committees and a brief description of that committee. If you are interested in serving on any of these, please contact the chamber office.
Business Enrichment Committee: Schedules the Business After-Hours events
Community Update: Organizes the “Spotlight On Huber Heights” which is held in the spring.
Chamber Bowl: Organizes the bowling event which is also a fund raiser for the Chamber
Golf Scramble: Organizes the annual golf outing that is held in August at Sugar Isle
Business Expo: Organizes the annual “Taking Business to New Heights” expo that is held in November
Annual Meeting: Organizes the “Our Year in Review” annual meeting held in December
Chamber WINGS: Schedules speakers for 10 of our monthly Chamber WINGS meetings. Also organizes the Vintage Style Show scheduled for May.
Serving on these committees is not a huge commitment, we ask that you attend the committee meetings and attendance at the event would be helpful. At sometime you may be asked to contact other members for sponsorship or donations, help design or have input on flyers, invitations, etc according to the event. Also, please note the Chamber staff is part-time, the administrative assistant works 20 hours a week and the executive director works 35. Due to meetings and events many times this causes us to have to flex our hours. Please be sure to call before making a special trip to the office and many times we are not in on Friday.
