Parks & RecreationHuber Heights is definitely a great place to live, work and play. Whether it is the 1,000+ acres of active and passive parkland or one of the numerous recreational programs, the city strives to provide leisure opportunities for anyone who lives or visits the community. The City of Huber Heights, Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Division, and FiveRiver MertoParks all operate facilities and provide programs in the city. They are as follows: The City of Huber Heights Parks SystemThe City of Huber Heights Parks System consists of 14 park areas totaling over 133 acres of land. Many of the parks are presently developed offering playgrounds, shelters, ball fields, courts, picnic areas, and trails, while there are plans to develop the remaining parks at a future date. Various youth sports organizations use city parks for their leagues such as baseball, softball, football, and soccer. The City has five shelters in various parks that may be reserved for a special event or a family outing. Shelters are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Carriage Hill MetroPark & Farm The City of Huber Heights is fortunate because it has two MetroParks within it's Carriage Hill MetroPark Farm is dedicated to the protection and stewardship of the Miami Valley's natural and cultural heritage with nearly 900 acres dedicated to natural and historic settings. Taylorsville MetroParkTaylorsville MetroPark combines recreational and educational opportunities. Taylorsville's 1300 acres brings people closer to nature and all it offers...enhancing our quality of life. Enjoy over 13 miles of trails -- hike through a pristine old growth hardwood forest, wander through prairies or enjoy panoramic views of the Great Miami River. The Great Miami River Recreation Trail is your road to adventure. Bike, hike, City Council has recognized the Metroparks and recreation system as being an integral part of our community, which enhances the quality of life for the residents of Huber Heights and its visitors. Cloud Park, located at 4707 Brandt Pike in Huber Heights, contains 124 acres of land and is part of the Montgomery County Parks and Recreation System. The park’s outdoor facilities include 12 tennis courts, 10 ball diamonds, two sand volleyball courts, four soccer fields, four basketball courts, six rental shelters, and 1.2 miles of paved walking trails.
